8th Grade Literature
1st nine weeks
Short stories--elements of fiction and literary devices--This unit is broken into 3 quizzes.
Animal Farm by George Orwell--The students will participate in literature circles to aid in comprehension. We will have several quizzes throughout the unit and end with a unit test.
2nd nine weeks
Speeches and Essays--We will explore public speaking in this unit.
